5 Awesome Raspberry Pi Emulators, What Emulators Can The Pi Zero Run Well

We work to put the power of computing and digital making into the hands of people all over the world

Hello.I have a Raspberry Pi 3, and on a laptop I emulated a Raspberry Pi 3.Now I need to do a project to Raspberry Pi Zero, but on the Internet I did not find the emulator Raspberry Pi Zero. Please any ideas how I can emulated Raspberry Pi Zero on a laptop.P.S. On the laptop, I have Windows and Linux.

What software did you use to emulate the ARMv7 BCM2837 SoC Raspberry Pi 3 ?Qemu is the only virtual machine which can emulate the Raspberry Pi Architecture as far as I am aware. The Raspberry Pi Zero ( and the original RPis ) have Single-Core ARMv6 ARM1176 BCM2835 SoC:https://github.com/dhruvvyas90/qemu-rpi … /README.md
The information is out there….you just have to let it in.My other Linux machines: ChromeBoxhttps://www.aliexpress.com/item/32966393971.html& Stone Desktop Intel CoreDuo circa 2010

Thank you for the answer, you really helped me!Unfortunately I can not answer your question, because the other person did it before me.

Thanks for the question. My team and I are working on a device that is based on RPI0. The device is intended for the electric power industry. The computing power of RPI0 is more than enough to work in this device.I used RPI3 before and I have everything for comfortable using RPI3, for example, RPI3 is connected to the display via HDMI, a keyboard and mouse are inserted in the RPI3.Now I checked the work of my program on RPI3, then I want to check the work of the program on RPI0 emulator and then on real RPI0.I think at first it will be easier for me to test the program on the RPI0 emulator than on a real RPI0.

You do know you can”t buy RPi0 in commercial quantities, don”t you?AFAIK that situation hasn”t changed since introduction.viewtopic.php?t=176662I think the low price is not commercially viable, so if it was made available in bulk it would probably be more expensive than the headline one-per-customer figure..

Thank you for the information! We chose RPI0 because it is small and powerful enough. We need to make only two prototypes of the device. If we have another order for this device, then perhaps we will change the equipment. Now it’s important for us to check the concept of the device.

Well, you can, but not at the discounted price.I would think in this case it would be easier to test and design using the actual hardware instead of using an emulator.

An endorsement from me for that view.If you were talking about an outlay of $500 I could understand your approach. But to save $5? Or even $15. I reckon your company or employer has already wasted more than that just by letting you spend time exploring the option…And emulation is never perfect. Just because it runs on an emulator it might still break in real life. (VW emissions testing anyone?) Or you might spend time fixing bugs in the emulated version that are not present in the hardware…
