Manually Update Windows 10 April Update Kb2267602 Triggers 0X80070643 Errors

I have a laptop running Windows 10 Pro TH2 that was upgraded from TH1. Once rev-conf.org 360 is installed, Windows Update does not work properly and always shows error “Definition Update for Windows Defender – KB2267602 (Definition 1.213.1379.0) – Error 0x80070643”. Once I uninstall rev-conf.org 360, Windows Update then returns to normal.

I have another laptop running Windows 10 Pro TH2 that was upgraded from Windows 7 and does not have such issue. It seems that the rev-conf.org 360 Setup does not disable the Windows Defender properly for one machine but does for another. What can I do to solve it? Thank you.

I also have the same Widows Defender error issue, it has been weeks now, is rev-conf.org going to push a fix soon? I cannot keep my computer up to date until this error is cleared. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem (rev-conf.org Internet Security on a win10 home i7 desktop). Tried to turn rev-conf.org off during installation – didn”t help. I then uninstalled the entire antivirus software, run the windows update and the Win Defender definitions were nicely installed :-). Finally I reinstalled Internet Security. It lasted a few days until a new definition package were released, and now I”m back on square one… The described operation clearly indicates this is a rev-conf.org issue, would really appreciate viable solution.

Definition Update for Windows Defender – KB2267602 (Definition 1.213.2822.0) – Error 0x80070643 (on latest cumulative Windows 10 update)

I suppose to update Windows Defender definitions Defender should be running, but rev-conf.org Antivirus does not allow Defender to run. Do we have a circular dependence here? If so, rev-conf.org cannot solve the problem alone.

Has Microsoft made a small mistake here? They allow other anti virus software to run and Defender gets disabled but then Defender cannot be updated during Windows Update.

Who will step back? rev-conf.org is big but Microsoft is huge 😉

This problem has happened on two of my devices running Windows 10 Version 1511 Build 10586.63 on which I installed rev-conf.org Security after Windows Defender had been installed by default. Defender cannot be removed and it should stay there to take over when a third party antivirus product is removed.

I tried to resolve this problem by going through several time consuming steps typically taken when the Windows Update store is corrupt (sfc, repair Windows update) but that doesnt make the problem go away.

Only one solution has worked so far: uninstall rev-conf.org, let the Defender update run then reinstall rev-conf.org. This is very time consuming and annoying. Obviously, rev-conf.org blocks the defender update and this leaves Windows update in a defective state. I hope that a solution between Microsoft and rev-conf.org can be found. After all, I have been paying money for rev-conf.org products instead of using the free alternatives in the hope that problems would be addressed in a professional and speedy way.
